The Antidotum Airshow 2025 in Leszno, Poland, was nothing short of spectacular, a true celebration of aviation, community, and the boundless passion for flight. Set against the beautiful backdrop of a summer sky, this year’s event surpassed all expectations and firmly cemented its place as one of Europe’s premier airshows. From the moment the gates opened, visitors were treated to a seamless, well-organized experience. The layout of the airfield allowed for excellent viewing from virtually any spot, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation. What truly set this year’s show apart, however, was the breathtaking lineup of performers. From old iconic military helicopters, fast fighter jets, impressive formation teams to elegant gliders, the many thousands of visitors were able to enjoy all aspects and beauties that aviation has to offer for eight hours long.
The key to the success of this fantastic event was the wide variety of participants. The audience was able to enjoy beautiful vintage aircraft such as the North American B-25 Mitchell, Lockheed P-38 Lightning, North American P-51 Mustang, and Vought F4U Corsair from the famous Flying Bulls, as well as the iconic Lim-2 and TS-11 Iskra Cold War jets that were once used by the Polish Air Force. Germany had a particularly prominent presence at this year’s Antidotum Airshow, giving the audience the chance to enjoy demonstrations of the EC-665 Tiger attack helicopter, the Eurofighter Typhoon, and the Panavia Tornado. The many photographers and aviation enthusiasts were particularly impressed by participants who are rarely seen at major air shows, such as the Hawks of Romania formation team, the Baltic Bees’ L-39 Albatros trainer jets, and the ANBO Aerobatic Team from Lithuania with their Yak-50 and Yak-52 aircraft. Another standout civil team was the Pterodactyl Flight from the Czech Republic, that recreates First World War air combat using airworthy full-scale replicas, combining close-formation dogfights, period storytelling and choreographed ground effects to bring Great War aviation to modern airshow crowds.
The highlight of this two-day event each night was the so-called “grand finale” where the audience was treated to half an hour of fireworks on the ground and in the air from several aircraft, special effects and live music by an impressive orchestra. In every sense, Antidotum Airshow 2025 was a triumph. During this edition of the Antidotum Airshow on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21, 2025, as many as 70,000 people came to Leszno-Strzyzewice Airport to admire the beauty of flying up close. Whether you came for the thunder of afterburners or the elegance of vintage aircraft, the event delivered moments that will live long in memory. This young event, which was organized for only the sixth time, has already won the hearts of aviation enthusiasts, pilots and photographers. This mainly because it offers unseen demonstrations combined with a beautiful sunset and evening show. If you're looking for the soul of aviation captured in one place, look no further than Leszno.
